Floral design changed my life....

It wasn't a lifelong dream, or something I even knew I wanted to do. But from the moment it got ahold of me, I knew I didn't want to do anything else. I walked out of my interior design job less than a year later to start Florish, and never looked back.

Now I am looking for a partner in grime (flowers are dirty work)! This is a part time position with irregular hours ranging from 0 to 20 per week, depending on what weddings, events, markets, and workshops we have going on. Hours are very flexible but weekday (before 5 pm) and some weekend availability is needed. Our studio is located in Granville, OH (40 minutes from Columbus, OH).

At this time we are looking for an assistant who can:

• Help with flower deliveries in Columbus, Granville, and surrounding areas on Fridays, Mondays, and around floral holidays.

• Help set up weddings and events (typically weekends).

• Clean, prep, and process buckets, vases, and flowers.

• Help with light gardening duties (planting, harvesting, etc.) as needed.

• Pick up supplies, run errands.

• Other duties as needed.

This is a 1099 sub-contractor position, which means you will be able to schedule your hours around your schedule. Two to four hours of Friday afternoon, and Monday morning availability is needed for subscription deliveries. Applicants must be comfortable using their personal vehicle to make floral deliveries in Columbus and surrounding areas. Due to the perishable nature of florals, a hatchback style vehicle is needed for deliveries.

No previous experience is required for this position. An interest in floral design is not necessary, but appreciated. It is more important that you are friendly, hard-working, and dependable, with excellent customer service skills. You will be working alongside me, as well as on your own so the ability to be personable, professional, and courteous with clients is a top priority.
